a little about me

hey! I’m Irwin,

My passion is photography, I discovered I loved it way back in my senior year of High School, when I took a digital course. There’s something about capturing a moment forever, that can be either a family relic, like a vintage sepia photo in a box, or art piece in a museum.

In college, I quickly fell in love with analog film photography because it taught me to value every single photo off that 36 exposure roll. The developing process and printing my photos one by one in a darkroom, really sparked something in me. Thats about when I started exploring more and my love for the outdoors grew.

One of my favorite photographers is Ansel Adams, his photos of Yosemite and the Eastern Sierras in black and white led to my passion for capturing nature and its beautiful landscapes. I love camping, and hiking and anything that involves a forest and waterfalls.

I started shooting weddings by interning with one of my friends, and it quickly became my favorite aspect of photography, its such a great feeling that comes with great responsibility to be able to capture two peoples love forever, I mean these are the photos they will be looking back at in 10, 20 years, so its important for me to make these photos timeless.

Im originally from San Diego, California, so naturally I love the beach, and California Burritos. I recently moved to Buffalo NY back in early 2021, and I gotta say that the beauty of western New York is amazing, green lush forests and their famous chicken wings have made it a great time so far.
